The Age to Come

The Digital AgeAs a longtime fan of the David Crowder Band, it’s good to hear new music being released after their disbanding. Check out The Digital Age “rehearsal” videos:

Indivisible is Indispensable

Conservative Christians get a bad rap nowadays. We’re seen as reactionary, irrelevant, closed-minded, one issue voters. A new generation of believers has rebelled against the perceived excesses and hypocrisy of their parents and has embraced environmentalism and so-called social justice. The raw political power of the Religious Right, once a driving force for a sought-after voting bloc, now lies squandered.

In Indivisible: Restoring Faith, Family, and Freedom Before It’s Too Late, James Robison and Jay Richards explore the fundamentals not just of a political movement, but of a world view. Through this monumental work, Robison and Richards show that those of us who cling to a conservative philosophy of government while living a life of faith are not convenient pawns of a political party as the Left would suggest. To the contrary, when examined through a Biblical lens, being both culturally conservative and fiscally responsible are indivisible.

This book, perhaps combined with the great Politics According to the Bible by Wayne Grudem, would work beautifully as a homeschool resource for a government course. That’s what we’re doing in our house!

The Return of Whole ‘Nother Story

Welcome to a Whole ‘Nother Story!

After 3 1/2 years, I’ve decided to start blogging again. My old Blogger posts can be found here, by the way. With other social media crowding it out, blogging just became superfluous at some point. But now I’ve realized that  140 characters sometimes aren’t enough to tell the story. And Facebook is, well, Facebook.

I hope to make this worth your while.
